Roman Chainani invites us to an adventure into a magical world, where everyone has their own fairy tale and it is already decided if someone is good or evil.
Sophie is like a real princess, beautiful and devoted to do as many good deeds, as possible. She is waiting the day since her childhood, when she also becomes one of those children, who were chose to attend the School for Good and Evil and have their own fairy tale. But Sophie's best friend, Agatha, is quite the opposite of the blond girl. With her grumpiness and black hair she would be perfect for a villain, she has even a black cat. However when the two girls get chosen to attend the famous school, they see shocked, that they were delivered to the wrong place. Agatha is in School for Good and Sophie is in School for Evil... But is it really a mistake, or everybody is in the right place?
I like all the books very much, and finished them really quickly, because it is just impossible to put them down. Even that the story is the quite often used magic school, it is still fresh and original. The characters are also very good, my personal favorite is Sophie. Another thing I like in the series, that it was not just very entertaining to read, but it was often thought-provoking. For example, that what is a truly good deed. I have to admit, I even cried on some parts of the novels.
So shorty, I like The School for Good and Evil very much. It is original, fresh and fun to read more times too. I can recommend it to everybody, it is interesting and entertaining for younger readers and for adults too.
