Dave Skylark (James Franco) is interviewing celebrities in his talk show, Skylark Tonight, about gossip and personal topics. Even that the show is successful and the crew celebrates its 1000th episode, the producer, Aaron Rapaport (Seth Rogen) is dissatisfied. A peer criticized Skylark Tonight, telling, it is not a real news program. After this, when Skylark discovers, that Kim Jong-un (Randall Park), the North Korean leader, is a fan of the show, he talks over Rapaport to arrange an interview. The North Korean chief propagandist, Sook-yin Park (Diana Bang), gives instructions about the task, making it official, that the talk show can have an exclusive interview with Kim. This makes huge advertisement for Skylark Tonight. So big, that the next day, Skylark and Rapaport are visited by the CIA. Agent Lacey (Lizzy Caplan) has a task for the duo, to assassinate Kim Jong-un, which they reluctantly accept to do.
Shortly, I liked the movie very much. It was entertaining and funny, a nice action comedy. The acting was also good and I enjoyed every minute of The Interview. I can recommend it generally to everyone, who wants to watch something light, mostly for those, who like comedy.
