Kouichi Sakakibara (Kento Yamazaki) moves from Tokyo to his mother's hometown. When he starts class at Yomiyama North High, he notices a strange girl, who he already saw earlier in the hospital. To make things more mysterious, when he asks his classmates, they doesn't see the girl. Kouichi tries to investigate, just to find out, that the girl's name is Mei Misaki (Ai Hashimoto). And then one of his classmates dies... Will Kouichi and Misaki be able to stop the curse on their class?

This live-action version of the original anime tries to put everything from a full anime season into one movie and fails badly. The story became just like a typical teen slasher movie. It lost also the eerie and mysterious feeling, which the anime had, everything happened too fast and like this the tension could not grow. The movie was rather like a Japanese Final Destination.
