Review Of G. Norman Lippert's James Potter Series

by - January 23, 2018

Have you ever wondering, how the story of Harry Potter continues?

Harry Potter's oldest son, James Sirius Potter starts his first year now in Hogwarts and it seems, nor his life will be boring in the famous wizard school. James makes friends with Ralf Deedle and the American exchange student, Zane Walker, on the train and later we meet with the others too from the new generation. There is  Rose Weasley, Albus and Lily Potter, and Scorpius Malfoy, because the story would not be full without a Malfoy. The kids have as many adventures, as many their parents had and we get know the wizarding world outside Hogwarts more. There are new secrets, new enemies and dangers. But of course James and his friends are ready to go after the mysteries.

I found the books really good and I agree with those, who say, the series is like as Rowling's original work. If I would not know it is a fanonical continuation, I would think, this is an official sequel. The style is like Harry Potter and it is very interesting to get know the other wizarding schools and the world after Voldemort. What I really like in these novels (and actually miss from the originals very much), that it is less predictable and it feels neutral about Slytherin, just because someone is there, it does not mean automatically, that they are dumb, ugly or just generally evil, like in Harry Potter. Sadly the series has only five books, not seven, but it is still awesome, that we got a sequel.

To sum it, I found James Potter a great series, which is fun to reread again and again. G. Norman Lippert did an awesome work with it, and the new adventures and characters are really entertaining. I would say, for Harry Potter fans, James Potter is a must-read, but I can recommend it to anybody, who likes fantasy.
